(PHILADELPHIA, PA) – Major League Wrestling today announced Lio Rush vs. Jacob Fatu for MLW FIGHTLAND '22 on Sunday, October 30 at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia.  Tickets start at $15 at MLW2300.com and the 2300 Arena box office.  The card is a FUSION TV taping, airing on beIN SPORTS nationwide on cable and dish and in over 60 countries around the world. Jacob Fatu said he was looking for a fight come Oct 30 in South Philadelphia but little did he know a free agent in the form of "The Man of the Hour" Lio Rush would step up and sign his name to the bout sheet. Part of a double main event FIGHTLAND card, Fatu vs. Rush promises to be an explosive collision.  A former MLW World Middleweight Champion, Lio Rush dominated MLW in 2020-21. A self described Fighting athlete, musician, artist and  influencer, Rush would grab headlines and be in the mix for a title match if he can defeat the "The most dangerous man on planet earth". In order to do so, Rush will have to channel his blistering speed with high octane innovation to overwhelm the near 300 pound former World Heavyweight Champion.             NXT lo volvió hacer. Con solo 5 luchas se robó el show dándole calidad a los fanáticos, pero sobretodo puro entretenimiento, historias finalizadas correctamente, sorpresas y excelente in-ring performance. De principio a fin los fans que abarrotaron el Barclays Center en Brooklyn, New York, se fueron con el placer de decir que le robaron a la WWE por que pagaron muy poco para lo que disfrutaron. ¡Sin duda eso no se ve a menudo en la lucha libre actual!

            La cartelera comenzó espectacular con la música de Code Orange y no con Triple H diciendo un mensaje como veces anteriores. La 1era lucha fue un clásico entre Andrade “Cien” Almas vs Johnny Gargano. De principio a fin metieron al público y no tardaron mucho que lograran el grito ¡NXT! Una lucha llena de excelentes movidas y buenos falsos finales que trajo un interesante desenlace. Selena Vega, quien maneja a Cien Almas, logra la distracción de Gargano al lanzarle una camisa de DYI/Ciampa, lo que aprovecha Andrade para aplicarle una bonita DDT para lograr el conteo de 3.

            Por fin alguien paró a las bestias de Authors of Pain manejados por Paul Ellering. Sanity, Erick Young y Alexander Wolfe se coronaron nuevos campeones de Parejas en NXT al vencer con su clásico juego de números a AOP. La batalla comenzó a las afueras antes de sonar la campana, pero en vez de Young fue Killian Dain que estaba repartiendo palos. Luego de sonar la campana, Dain hizo el switch con Young. Dentro y fuera del ring ambas parejas se dieron con todo, pero Dain y Nikki Cross fueron claves en con su intervención para lograr aislar a los monstruos de AOP. Young y Wolfe se combinaron para un bonita movida final para lograr el conteo de tres. La celebración no duró mucho ya que dos ex ROH, Bobby Fish y Kyle O’Reilly atacaron sin piedad a las dos parejas para dejar marcada su intención de coronarse campeones.

            Hideo Itami y Aleister Black dieron una suprema lucha. Jim Ross estuvo en la mesa de los narradores como comentarista invitado para esta lucha. La entrada de Black estuvo chévere, pero mejor estuvo su trabajo dentro del ring intercambiando palos ante Itami. A pesar de sangrar por la nariz, Black dejó todo en el ring y se apuntó el triunfo con su tradicional Black Mask. Aleister Black sigue subiendo de nivel lucha tras lucha y pronto lo veremos como campeón.

            Asuka retuvo su faja, su racha invicta y su marca de más tiempo como campeona al vencer vía Tap Out/Sumisión con el Asuka Lock a Ember Moon. Una de las mejores luchas de mujeres que ha dado la WWE en los últimos años. Los falsos finales provocaron la euforia de los fans que no dejaban de gritar ¡NXT! Y la pelea estelar solo le fue el final perfecto para una perfecta velada de lucha libre. Drew McIntyre con un Claymore derrotó a Bobby Roode para coronarse el nuevo campeón de NXT. Excelente lucha para pelos y que su final fue bueno; pero mejor fue lo que pasó después. Fish y O’Reilly vuelve aparecer en escena y no vinieron solo. El ex ROH, Adam Cole, hace su debut en NXT atacando a McIntyre y evitando que este celebre su nuevo campeonato. El trío de ex Ring of Honor sin duda fue una sorpresa agradable en NXT.
