SEPTEMBER 4, 2022 MONTREAL (Canada) - The FIBA 3x3 World Tour 2020 winners Riga (LAT) finally claimed their first success of the season on the pro circuit at the Montreal Masters on September 3-4, 2022.
The Latvians defeated Sakiai Gulbele (LTU) 19-17 in a thrilling all-Baltic final. It was the first time this year that Riga were able to have their four Olympic champions on the roster. Their star player Karlis Lasmanis led the scoring charts in Montreal and was named MVP. He had a game-high 8 points in the final. Aurelijus Pukelis scored 7 for Sakiai Gulbele in the losing effort.
In the individual contests, Steve Sir (Ulaanbaatar MMC Energy , MGL ) took home the Wilson Shoot-Out Contest, while Jordan Southerland (USA) won the Podium Dunk Contest.

SEPTEMBER 4, 2022 ATHENS (Greece) - Germany (men) and France (women) won the FIBA 3x3 U17 Europe Cup 2022 in Athens, Greece on September 2-4, 2022.
In the men's category, Germany won their first 3x3 U17 Europe Cup gold medal after defeating Latvia in a heart-breaking final (21-20). Tournament MVP Fabian Giessmann topped all scorers in Athens and also led the charge in the final with 8 points, including a thunderous baseline reverse dunk to seal the gold medal. Janis Censonis had 7 points for Latvia in the losing effort and joined Giessmann and Theo Pierre-Justin (who spearheaded France's bronze-medal campaign) on the Team of the Tournament. On the women's side, the final was just as breathtaking. France held on to a 13-12 win against the defending champs Spain to win their first 3x3 U17 Europe Cup. No-look pass artist Lou Bobst was named MVP of the competition and was joined on the team of the tournament by top scorer Phoenix Stotijn, from the Netherlands, and second leading scorer Laia Conesa of Spain. SEPTEMBER 4, 2022 MONTREAL (Canada) - Canada finished the FIBA 3x3 Women's Series regular season in style by winning their third stop of the season in Montreal on September 2-3, 2022. Canada had a perfect 5-0 record in Montreal. After winning their first 4 games by a 10-point margin on average, they were pushed to their limits in the final by a surprising France U24 team. Katherine Plouffe took over and scored a game-high 12 points in the final to help Canada win a 19-18 thriller. Her teammate Paige Crozon was named MVP of the competition. After winning in Edmonton and Bucharest, Canada became the only team to win 3 stops this season. Though they only rank third in the season standings, they own the best winning percentage in the competition. They only lost 3 times in 23 games (87% winning percentage), making them one of the favorites for the Constanta Final on September 17-18, where there will be a total of 279,000 US dollars in prize money. France, Germany, Canada, Spain, USA, Lithuania and the Romanian hosts had already clinched their qualification to the Final. Commercial team Düsseldorf Zoos (GER) stamped the last ticket to Romania in Montreal. AUGUST 28, 2022 DEBRECEN (Hungary) - France (men) and USA (women) won the FIBA 3x3 U18 World Cup 2022, which took place in Debrecen, Hungary on August 23-28.
France's men won their first-ever FIBA 3x3 U18 World Cup gold medal after defeating Serbia in a 21-17 thrilling final. Mathys Kangudia led "Les Bleus" in the title game with 8 points while Rudy Ekwakwe Priso added 7. For Serbia, Milan Suput scored 8 in the losing effort. Ekwakwe Priso, who scored the game-winner in the final and led his team in scoring, was named MVP of the competition and was joined on the team of the tournament by Serbia's Suput and Lithuania's Rokas Jocys. Jocys led all scorers in Debrecen and buried an incredible buzzer-beater to help his country bring home the bronze.
USA's women won their sixth overall and fourth consecutive gold medal in the 9th edition of the FIBA 3x3 U18 World Cup. Mikaylah Williams was named MVP for the second year in a row after topping the scoring charts and scoring a game-high 9 points in the final against Germany (21-11).

The Belgian squad ended Ub Huishan NE’s four-event winning streak on the World Tour to conquer their first-ever World Tour Masters in Debrecen.
They became the first team out of Belgium to do it
Antwerp defeated the #1 team in the world in the final 22-20 on a Maurice Lacroix buzzer-beater courtesy of Thibaut Vervoort. The 24-year-old topped all scorers in the final with 9 points and was named MVP of the Debrecen Masters.
In the individual contests, Christophe Varidel (Lausanne Sport, SUI), took home the Task Csoport Shoot-Out Contest, while Polish dunk legend Rafal "Lipek" Lipinski won the Leroy Cafe Dunk Contest.

AUGUST 27, 2022 EAUBONNE (France) - France U24 won the FIBA 3x3 Women's Series Eaubonne Stop after beating Dusseldorf Zoos (GER) 21-16 in the final on August 26-27, 2022. The Women's Series continues to be absolutely unpredictable: 10th stop of the season and already 8 different winners. France U24 - which qualified for the Women's Series after winning the Nations League in 2021 - won an event, which featured all three of the Crelan FIBA 3x3 World Cup 2022 medalists (France, Canada and China)!
After losing their opener against Canada, France U24 won their next 4 games, including a semi-final win against the European reigning champs Spain (16-11). In the title game, they met giant-killers Dusseldorf Zoos (GER), who had eliminated Canada in the semi-finals on a buzzer-beating shot from behind the arc, courtesy of Japanese sharpshooter Yuka Maeda. With the game tied at 12 with 2 minutes to go, 22-year-old Emma Peytour took over. She scored 7 of France U24's next 9 points, including a clutch two-pointer with 19 seconds to go and the game-winning free-throw. Peytour had 9 points in the final and was awarded the MVP trophy after finishing second in scoring and third in player value (Canada's Michelle Plouffe ranked first in both categories).
Reaching the championship game in Eaubonne means that both teams still have a chance to qualify for the Women's Series Final. With just 1 stop to go, 7 teams have already secured their ticket to Constanta: Germany, France, Canada, USA, Lithuania, Spain and the Romanian hosts.
This leaves 5 teams for 1 ticket. China currently rank 8th but will not compete in the last stop next week in Montreal. The other 4 will play in Canada. Dusseldorf Zoos are in the driver's seat since they rank the highest (10th) of all active contenders. The next in line are Hungary (11th), France U24 (14th) and the Netherlands (17th). The 11th and last stop (before the final) of the FIBA 3x3 Women's Series 2022 will take place in Montreal, Canada, on September 2-3.

LAS VEGAS ACES’ BECKY HAMMON NAMED 2022 WNBA COACH OF THE YEAR NEW YORK, Aug. 26, 2022 – Las Vegas Aces head coach Becky Hammon has been named the 2022 WNBA Coach of the Year, the WNBA announced today. Hammon becomes the third former WNBA player to win the award, joining Sandy Brondello (2014) and Suzie McConnell-Serio (2004). She is the first former player to earn the honor in her debut season as a WNBA head coach and the only one to win the award while coaching the franchise for which she previously played. Hammon received 27 votes from a national panel of 56 sportswriters and broadcasters. Tanisha Wright of the Atlanta Dream finished in second place with 18 votes and James Wade of the Chicago Sky was third with eight votes. Vickie Johnson of the Dallas Wings, Vanessa Nygaard of the Phoenix Mercury and Mike Thibault of the Washington Mystics each received one vote each. The camp will mark the first time the NBA and FIBA’s global basketball development and community outreach program will be held in Egypt and the first time on the continent since 2019 in Senegal.BWB Africa 2022 will bring together more than 60 of the top male and female players ages 18 and under from across Africa, including 14 NBA Academy Africa prospects and six NBA Academy Africa Women’s Program participants, to learn directly from current and former NBA and FIBA players, legends and coaches and compete alongside the best young players on the continent. The campers and coaches will also take part in life skills, leadership development and community service programming. The campers will be coached by NBA players Udoka Azubuike (Utah Jazz; Nigeria), Mo Bamba (Orlando Magic; U.S.; ties to Ivory Coast), 2017 NBA Rookie of the Year Malcolm Brogdon (U.S.; Boston Celtics) and Grant Williams (U.S.; Celtics), as well as NBA Global Ambassador and Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Famer Dikembe Mutombo (Democratic Republic of the Congo). Joining the NBA players and legends will be nine-time NBA champion and Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr, 2004 NBA champion and Portland Trail Blazers head coach Chauncey Billups, two-time NBA champion and New Orleans Pelicans head coach Willie Green, Washington Wizards head coach Wes Unseld Jr. and Minnesota Timberwolves head coach Chris Finch, tying for the most NBA head coaches to participate in a single BWB camp. Milwaukee Bucks associate head coach Charles Lee and Charlotte Hornets associate head athletic trainer Quinton Sawyer will also coach at the camp. Players and coaches will also host a unified Jr. NBA clinic for 100 boys and girls at Hassan Mostafa Indoor Sports Complex on Monday, Aug. 29, in collaboration with Special Olympics. A ceremony on the final day of the camp will award the BWB Africa 2022 MVP, Defensive MVP, Three-Point Champion and Patrick Baumann Sportsmanship Award to the boys and girls who distinguish themselves on the court and as leaders. A record 41 former BWB campers were among the record 121 international players on 2021-22 NBA opening-night rosters, including Gorgui Dieng (San Antonio Spurs; Senegal; BWB Africa 2009), five-time NBA All-Star Joel Embiid (Philadelphia 76ers; Cameroon; BWB Africa 2011) and NBA champion Pascal Siakam (Toronto Raptors; Cameroon; BWB Africa 2012). The NBA and FIBA have hosted 65 BWB camps in 30 countries since the program’s launch in 2001. BWB has reached more than 3,800 participants from 134 countries and territories, with 105 former campers having advanced to the NBA or WNBA. AUGUST 25, 2022NAHA CITY (Japan) - Japan, the Philippines and Indonesia will be in the spotlight from August 25 to 28 as the Tissot Countdown Clocks are unveiled in the three host countries to celebrate one year to the start of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023. The latest milestone ahead of FIBA's flagship event for men will feature ceremonies attended by high-ranking officials from FIBA, Tissot, city and government officials, local organizers as well as players and other celebrities. The festivities in all three co-hosting nations will include an array of activities as the world gets ready for the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 which tips off next year on August 25.
"This is an exciting milestone to be celebrating. There are only 365 days to go before we witness a historic FIBA Basketball World Cup - the first to be hosted by multiple nations," said FIBA Secretary General Andreas Zagklis. Japan is the first to reveal the Countdown Clock on August 25 in Tenbusu Naha Plaza in Naha City. Special guests and dignitaries at the ceremony were Yuko Mitsuya, President of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 Organizing Committee of Japan and Japanese Basketball Association President; Nobutoshi Higoshi, Vice-Chairman of the Organizing Committee of Japan; Heidi Chu, Tissot, Swatch Group Japan President and Representative Director; the Director of Okinawa Prefecture; the Governors of Okinawa City, Naha City, Ginowan City and Chatan Town, as well as Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games silver medallist from the women's Japanese national team, Evelyn Mawuli. El Baloncesto Superior Nacional Femenino (BSNF) anunció la aprobación del cambio que envía a la armadora Ashley Torres a las Cangrejeras de Santurce por Annelisse Vargas, quien pasa a las Montañeras de Morovis.
Rafael J. Otero, director de torneo del BSNF, circuló el miércoles la resolución del trueque.

Torres fue escogida como la jugadora de Mayor Progreso 2019 en uniforme de las Explosivas de Moca. Ha sido parte de la Selecciones U16, U17 y adulta, en esta última jugó el FIBA Women’s Olympic Pre-Qualifying Americas Tournament. En el 2021 con Morovis promedió 13.2 puntos, 5.8 rebotes, 2.8 asistencias y 1.4 cortes de balón por partido.
Vargas, por su parte, vistió el uniforme azul, rojo y blanco con los equipos U16 y U18. La pasada campaña con Santurce registró una media de 4.8 tantos, 3.0 capturas y 1.4 pases para anotación por cotejo.
Las Montañeras en el turno adquirido seleccionaron de Nuevo Ingreso a Elymaries Rodríguez, egresada de Florida National con 4.7 puntos, 3.2 rebotes y 1.9 asistencia por compromiso.
| Las Patriotas de Lares escogieron el martes a la delantera Anniris Quintana en el primer turno del sorteo de jugadoras de Nuevo Ingreso 2022 del Baloncesto Superior Nacional Femenino (BSNF).
Quintana viene de participar con las Juanas de la Universidad de Puerto Rico recinto de Mayagüez y la selección de baloncesto 3x3. En la Liga Atlética Interuniversitaria (LAI) cosechó una medalla de oro, una de plata y otra de bronce.
“Estamos trabajando arduamente para demostrarle a los que dudan de este servidor que nosotros podemos y que vamos a hacer un buen trabajo”, comentó Luis Luciano, apoderado de Lares.
Las Patriotas también seleccionaron a Shyla Osmond en el cuarto turno de la primera ronda. Es una guardia de 5’5 de estatura.
Mientras, en la segunda escogencia, las Montañeras de Morovis seleccionaron a Niroshka Pérez.
El tercer turno lo tuvo las campeonas Gigantes de Carolina, que escogieron a Antigonie ‘Tiggie’ Sanabria, egresada de Tiffin University. Carolina también tuvo el quinto y séptimo solicitando a Jovanah Arrington (Humboldt State University) y a Valeria Verdejo (Selección PUR U16), respectivamente.
Por su parte, las subcampeonas Cangrejeras de Santurce optaron por Isabel Arias, de Missouri Valley College. Arias fue la jugadora más destacada del ‘2022 BSNF Rookie Combine’ con 14 puntos y tres asistencias.
En total, en el Sorteo de Nuevo Ingreso, se celebraron cinco vueltas y se eligieron un total de 33 jugadoras.
MARI PLÁCIDO LA PRIMERA SELECCIÓN DE NO RESERVADAS
La rifa de jugadoras cerró con el Sorteo de No Reservadas.
En el primer turno, las Atenienses de Manatí peticionaron a la veterana Mari Plácido, jugadora que ha representado a Puerto Rico en la selección desde 2005 hasta este año que jugó en el FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup Qualifying Tournament.
Morovis le siguió con Glorie-Ann Santiago, las Explosivas de Moca sumaron a Paulette Addison, Manatí agregó a Natacha Alequín y las Bravas de Cidra escogieron a Linnette Mercado.
La ronda concluyó con Santurce eligiendo a Glennys Rosa y Lares a Sandra García.

With a very busy calendar of events coming up over the next few months, including the fourth window of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 Qualifiers, the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2022, the FIBA EuroBasket 2022 and FIBA AmeriCup 2022, the meeting had an event-packed agenda. The following key topics were discussed: FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2022With tip-off to FIBA's flagship women’s event less than one month away, a progress report was received on the final preparations for the upcoming FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2022. Various programs and initiatives are underway to ensure the 2022 Women’s World Cup will have the biggest impact to date.
FIBA U17 Basketball World Cups 2022The Executive Committee received reports on the recent FIBA U17 Basketball World Cup 2022 in Spain and the FIBA U17 Women's Basketball World Cup 2022 in Hungary which took place in July. Both World Cups were successfully executed, with hosts being part of FIBA's multi-year hosting model. FIBA has in the meantime launched the bidding process based on the same model for World Youth events for the period 2024-26.
FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 and QualifiersPreparations continue for the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 across the three host countries. Reports were received on this progress along with the successful third Qualifier window that was played in June. With the return to home and away format for the Americas and very high attendance numbers across the globe, 60 teams have now qualified for the second round of Qualifiers which will take place from August 24 to 30.
The FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 has celebrated various milestones along with the announcement of JIP, the new World Cup mascot. This week will also see the One Year to Go celebrations take place in Japan, the Philippines and Indonesia.
FIBA Continental Cups 2022The Executive Committee heard reports on the recently played FIBA Asia Cup 2022 in Indonesia in July, and the upcoming FIBA EuroBasket 2022 and FIBA AmeriCup 2022 which will both be played in September.
Club Competitions Updates were presented to the Executive Committee also on the upcoming seasons of the Basketball Champions League (BCL), Basketball Champions League Americas (BCLA) and the Basketball Africa League (BAL). The BCL Regular Season will tip off on October 3, with Qualifiers taking place from September 21 to 25. BCLA will start its fourth season in December and season 3 of the BAL will take place next year.
3x3Progress reports were given on the current 3x3 National Team Competitions and Professional Circuit, which will combine for a staggering number of more than 120 FIBA 3x3 events this year. The next event which starts today is the FIBA 3x3 U18 World Cup, taking place in Debrecen, Hungary from August 23 to 28. LOS ANGELES TO HOST 2022 NBA 2K LEAGUE ALL-STAR PRESENTED BY GOOGLE PIXEL – Games Tip Off at 8 p.m. ET on Friday, Sept. 30 at The Novo and will include both 5v5 and 3v3 Formats – NEW YORK, Aug. 22, 2022 – The NBA 2K League today announced that the second annual NBA 2K League All-Star presented by Google Pixel will be held in Los Angeles at The Novo on Friday, Sept. 30 at 8 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on Stadium and the NBA 2K League’s Twitch and YouTube channels. For the first time, the 2022 NBA 2K League All-Star event will include both 5v5 and 3v3 gameplay formats and will award a total of $30,000 to participants. | El sorteo de jugadoras de Nuevo Ingreso 2022 del Baloncesto Superior Nacional Femenino (BSNF) que se celebrará mañana martes es uno de los más numerosos en los últimos años con sobre 50 jugadoras disponibles en el pote.
La actividad anual que sirve de antesala al campeonato femenino se escenificará en el coliseo Juan A. Cruz Abreu de Manatí, a partir de las 7:00 p.m., y se transmitirá por YouTube.
El primer turno lo tienen las Patriotas de Lares. En el listado tienen para escoger a la delantera del colegio de Mayagüez Anniris Quintana. Resaltan también en el grupo la guardia Niroshka Pérez, con experiencia en Australia y Francia; la también ‘combo guard’ Jovanah Arrington, de Humboldt State University; y la ‘forward-guard’ Antigonie Sanabria, de Tiffin University.
Las Patriotas tienen el primer turno tras terminar en el último puesto en el torneo pasado con marca de 1-16, y volverán a seleccionar en el cuarto turno de la primera ronda tras un canje con las Atenienses de Manatí.
Quintana luce como la posible primera selección. En la Liga Atlética Interuniversitaria (LAI) fue ganadora de una medalla de Oro, una de Plata y otra de Bronce. “Ella hace de todo. Puede poner la bola en el piso. Ataca con las dos manos, aunque es zurda. Defiende sobre el promedio, puede contener. El triple con espacio lo mete consistente”, detalló el dirigente de las Juanas, Franklin Román.
Pérez, por su parte, participó en el 2019 con Central District Lions en Australia, donde promedió 14.7 puntos, 5.0 cortes de balón, 4.1 asistencias y 4.1 rebotes por partido.
Arrington llega a Puerto Rico con una media de 6.5 tantos, 2.6 capturas y 1.0 pase para anotación en dos años de participación en NCAA División 2. Sanabria, también jugadora de segunda división, registró 4.6 puntos y 1.5 rebotes.
Otras jugadoras que podrían ser seleccionadas en la primera vuelta son Alexandria Capeles (Millikin University), Isabel Arias (Missouri Valley College), Valery Alvarado (McMurry University), Emily Ruiz (New Jersey City University), Shyla Osmond (Albertus Magnus College) y Symantha Marrero (Penn State Abington).
En el segundo turno seleccionarán las Montañeras de Morovis, en el tercero y séptimo turno las Explosivas de Moca en cambio hecho con las Gigantes de Carolina; en el quinto (vía Bravas de Cidra) las Gigantes y en el sexto las Cangrejeras de Santurce.
Cidra comenzará a seleccionar en la tercera ronda en el quinto ‘pick’. Las Atenienses de Manatí no meten la mano en la lista hasta la cuarta ronda. El sorteo durará todas las rondas que los equipos entiendan necesarias.

Ríos trabajará mano a mano con la también exjugadora Carla Cortijo, directora de operaciones y mercadeo del BSNF.

TODO UN ÉXITO LAS PRUEBAS DE TALENTO
Las jugadoras inscritas para participar en el Sorteo de Jugadoras 2022 del Baloncesto Superior Nacional Femenino (BSNF) tuvieron su oportunidad ayer de mostrar sus quilates en el coliseo Guillermo Angulo de Carolina.
Un total de 25 jugadoras, entre nuevo ingreso y no reservadas, realizaron la prueba y expusieron su talento bajo la dirección del mandamás de las campeonas Gigantes de Carolina, Carlos Calcaño, y el nuevo técnico de las subcampeonas Cangrejeras de Santurce, Héctor ‘Bobby’ Porrata-Doria.
La tradicional prueba regresó con un extenso calendario de actividades que incluyó la medición de estatura, peso, ‘wingspan’ y velocidad. Las jugadoras también fueron trabajadas de manera individual con una serie de ejercicios de situaciones de juego y de forma colectiva con un juego de exhibición.
El partido culminó con una victoria del conjunto rosa 58-32 frente al equipo blanco. Isabel Arias se destacó con 14 puntos, Lineshka Graciano anotó 12, Victoria Mercado atrapó nueve rebotes, Arias y Karelis Zayas repartieron tres asistencias cada una.

AUGUST 20, 2022 LAUSANNE (Switzerland) - Ub Huishan NE (SRB) won the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Lausanne Masters 2022, presented by Yuh in the Olympic capital on August 20.
The Serbian squad won their fourth straight World Tour event of 2022 after the Utsunomiya Opener, the Manila Masters and the Prague Masters after defeating home favorites Lausanne Sport (SUI) in the final (21-15) in front of a sold-out venue by Lake Geneva.
The final was a rematch of the first game of the event, when Lausanne Sport ended Ub's 14-game winning streak on the World Tour. In the final, Ub switched gear.
The number one 3x3 player in the world, Strahinja Stojacic, had 6 points and a monster block in the final and was named MVP after leading all scorers in Lausanne. His teammate Dejan Majstorovic added a game-high 8 points in the final and won a record third title in Lausanne. The pocket-sized Gilles Martin (5ft. 8in, 1.73m) scored 7 in the losing effort for Lausanne.
This was the 9th edition of the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Lausanne Masters.
In the individual contests, Miroslav Pasajlic (Liman Huishan NE, SRB), took home the Maurice Lacroix Shoot-Out Contest, while Joel Henry (GBR) won the Chiefs Dunk Contest.

AUGUST 20, 2022 QUEBEC (Canada) - USA won their first FIBA 3x3 Women's Series Stop of the season in Quebec after defeating Lithuania in the final on August 19-20, 2022.
USA took home their second-ever Women's Series stop after going 5-1 in Canada, including a convincing 18-7 win against Lithuania in the final. Tournament MVP Lauren Cox led the team with 8 points in the final. Her teammate Cierra Burdick, who was also was on the squad when the US won their first stop last year in Klaipeda, Lithuania, added 5 in the championship game.

The NBA Paris Game 2023 will feature a matchup between the Chicago Bulls and the Detroit Pistons on Thursday, Jan. 19 at the Accor Arena in Paris (3 p.m. ET). 2022 NBA Finals Rematches The Warriors and Celtics will meet for the first time since the 2022 NBA Finals on Saturday, Dec. 10 in San Francisco on ABC (8:30 p.m. ET). This will mark the season premiere of NBA Saturday Primetime on ABC, the first of seven regular-season games on Saturday nights at 8:30 p.m. ET on ABC. The second and final regular-season matchup between the two defending conference champions will take place on Thursday, Jan. 19 in Boston on TNT (7:30 p.m. ET). Final Day of Regular Season
All 30 teams will play on the final day of the regular season (Sunday, April 9). The seven games between Eastern Conference teams and the one interconference game (Rockets at Washington Wizards) will begin at 1 p.m. ET, and the seven games between Western Conference teams will start at 3:30 p.m. ET. ESPN will televise a doubleheader, with the matchups to be determined at a later date. Travel Reduction The estimated average miles traveled for the 2022-23 regular season has been reduced to 41,000 miles per team, a record low in the era with 30 teams and 82 games per team. This marks an estimated reduction of nearly 2,000 miles per team from last season’s previous all-time low of 43,000 miles traveled. In total, NBA teams are projected to travel more than 50,000 fewer miles than last season. The instances with no travel between games for teams on the road have increased by 66% from last season (88 from 53). The 88 no-travel instances include 55 instances of teams playing consecutive road games against the same opponent and 33 instances of teams playing two games in a row in Los Angeles (against the Clippers and Lakers) or New York (against the Knicks and Nets). Additional Schedule Highlights
All 30 teams are scheduled to make at least one appearance on TNT or ESPN in the 2022-23 regular season. The NBA on TNT, ESPN, ABC and NBA TV will present flexible scheduling throughout the regular season to provide the most compelling matchups to a national audience. TNT will air 18 Tuesday doubleheaders and 13 Thursday doubleheaders during the regular season, with each Thursday doubleheader taking place in January or later except for the one during opening week. ESPN will televise 21 Wednesday doubleheaders and 13 Friday doubleheaders. All primetime doubleheaders across TNT and ESPN will again be played at 7:30 p.m. ET/10 p.m. ET. ABC will present 15 regular-season games across Saturday nights and Sunday afternoons (excluding Christmas Day). NBA TV will televise more than 100 live games during the regular season.
