NFL TO HOST INAUGURAL NFL COACHING CLINIC JUNE 16-18

As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen our game through the development of coaches and players, the National Football League will host the inaugural NFL COACHING CLINICJune 16-18 at the New York Jets’ Atlantic Health Training Center in Florham Park, New Jersey.
Bringing together more than 60 current NFL coaches, the coaching clinic will provide a foundation for communicating and teaching position fundamentals through engaging and interactive sessions. This year’s program will focus on the quarterback, offensive line, linebacker and defensive line positions. Participants were nominated by NFL clubs and include team representatives who currently have one-to-three years of coaching experience.
“Our peer-to-peer model brings together the best in football to exchange ideas, get into the nuances of coaching, and inspire the next generation of great coaches,” said Troy Vincent, NFL Executive Vice President of Football Operations. “There are so many aspects to coaching beyond the Xs and Os, and this affords our younger coaches a first-hand opportunity to see models of best practices and achievement from coaches with more experience.”
During the three-day event, a panel of speakers composed of retired or inactive coaches renowned for their coaching success and their reputation as teachers will instruct and demonstrate techniques, discuss effective communication, and share perspectives on best practices. There will also be presentations, panel discussions, breakout sessions and on-the-field demonstrations.
Topics will include best practices for communicating with players, basic mechanics for each position, fundamentals in the contact zone, building player confidence, and improving timing and recognition skills.
“This NFL coaching clinic is a wonderful undertaking,” says former NFL executive and Hall of Famer Bill Polian. “It gives young coaches an opportunity to learn skills and technique from the very best coaching minds in the game. I look forward very much to participating in it.”
The list of executives and coaches participating as faculty include Troy Vincent, Bill Polian, Matt Birk, Ted Cottrell, Kevin Gilbride, Al Groh, Ray Hamilton, Jim McNally, Howard Mudd, Jimmy Raye, Sr., Norv Turner, and Dave Wannstedt.

USA Football Introduces Rookie Tackle Pilot Program
USA Football announces 11 youth football leagues spanning nine states to pilot
Rookie Tackle – a bridge game between flag football and 11-player tackle
Rookie Tackle, a bridge game between flag football and 11-player tackle, is designed to introduce young athletes to tackle football. In alignment with the U.S. Olympic Committee's American Development Model (ADM), USA Football will pilot Rookie Tackle this fall as part of a long-term athlete development pathway in the sport.
A fun, skill-development-centric version of the game for young athletes, Rookie Tackle will be evaluated throughout an 11-league pilot season. This version of football delivers a progression practiced in a variety of sports, including tee-ball to "coach pitch" to "player pitch" in baseball.
A key outcome of the pilot is to learn how players, parents, coaches and youth league commissioners embrace its concept and how it may be improved for a wider spectrum of youth sports programs in future seasons. Youth players' physical activity also will be measured to gauge fitness benefits specific to the small-sided game. Similar versions of the sport have been played in some youth leagues for years. USA Football continues its commitment to innovative new standards by introducing the USOC's ADM to football through Rookie Tackle, joining a family of initiatives including Heads Up Football, which advances coaching education and safer play in high schools and youth leagues nationwide.
"This is an exciting step in our sport's evolution for the good of young athletes," said USA Football CEO SCOTT HALLENBECK. "The 11 youth programs participating in this pilot season will help us evaluate Rookie Tackle and the benefits of a player pathway for athletes, coaches and parents."
"It's a game that teaches so much, it's a great education, it's a stepping stone, it's a transition to 11-player football and I can't think of a better game that does it," said USA Football Master Trainer and National High School Hall of Fame football coach CHUCK KYLE. Kyle, the head football coach at Cleveland St. Ignatius High School, also serves as the Cleveland Browns' youth football advisor. Kyle has helped the Browns become the first NFL team to assist USA Football in establishing a Rookie Tackle pilot league.
"The American Development Model stresses long term athlete development principles to encourage our kids to develop a wide range of athletic skills to strengthen their foundation for success and enjoyment in sport," said United States Olympic Committee Chief of Sport Performance ALAN ASHLEY. "I commend USA Football's leadership for moving towards the American Development Model for the betterment of the sport's future."

Key Aspects of Rookie Tackle Game Play
  • Six, seven or eight players on the field per team
  • 40-yard-by-35-yard playing field size, scaled for a youth athlete's age and skill level
  • Maximizes field space by playing two games simultaneously on a regulation-sized field
  • Players learn multiple positions and skills; position-specialization is not introduced
  • Smaller teams foster more playing time and opportunities for improvement, success
  • Players on offensive and defensive lines begin every play in a two-point stance
  • Removal of special teams encourages more plays from scrimmage and skill development
  • More focused, individualized coaching attention by virtue of a smaller roster
  • A video about Rookie Tackle and its game play can be found here
* Rookie Tackle variations will be evaluated during the 2017 pilot.

Bill Polian, Pro Football Hall of Fame Contributor,
Chairman of USA Football's Football Advisory Committee and NFL Analyst for ESPN
"As we continue to learn more, this is a sensible step for the development of young athletes. By targeting their physical and mental development, we can help maximize their potential and keep them active supporting success on and off the field."
Dr. Stanley Herring, USA Football Medical Advisory Committee Chairman
"Educating coaches and parents is more important than ever, and USA Football's proposed player pathway is another advancement in football education. As long-time football parents, we're excited to see USA Football pilot Rookie Tackle."
Chris and Mike Golic, Football Parents and Co-Host of ESPN's "Mike & Mike"
"Our No. 1 priority is to make sure our students learn and grow, and while this must happen through the classroom,
our young people can also develop character through athletics. We are glad to partner with
USA Football to provide our students with a safer, fun and healthy experience with the sport."
Dr. William R. HiteSuperintendent of The School District of Philadelphia
"The game of football has evolved tremendously over the last several years. We must continue to find ways to grow and evolve the game, and I believe Rookie Tackle does that. Rookie Tackle is a common-sense approach to introduce tackle football to kids. We applaud USA Football for taking this very valuable step towards improving the game at the youth level.
Pop Warner is proud to have one of our leagues participate in this pilot season."
Jon Butler, Executive Director, Pop Warner
"We are always seeking new ways to strengthen our support of youth and high school football in our state, and the
Rookie Tackle program provides a unique opportunity by creating an atmosphere that is structured to benefit early skill development, and most importantly, allows kids to learn and love football. The Browns are proud to partner with USA Football for this innovative program and to help host a pilot league in Northeast Ohio this fall."
Jenner Tekancic, Vice President of Community Relations, Cleveland Browns
"We commend USA Football and the 11 youth leagues that are participating in this pilot program. The NFL shares a commitment to youth football development and is proud to support USA Football and the Rookie Tackle program. From smaller fields to an enhanced player experience – Rookie Tackle is a critical step forward in a concerted effort to better teach the fundamentals and create additional pathways for youth participants to play the game."
Roman Oben, Senior Director, Youth and High School Football, National Football League
"Rookie Tackle has the potential to enhance the social and physical benefits football provides young athletes today.
As a coach, I see not only a pathway for the development of youth players, but also a pathway for youth football coaches."
Tony Dungy, Pro Football Hall of Fame Coach, Former NFL Player and NFL Analyst for NBC Sports
"Partnering with USA Football to implement the Rookie Tackle program is a decision our league believes will enhance the youth football experience for our players and their families. After experiencing the game at its highest level, it is essential that our sport adopts a 'right age, right stage' philosophy for the best interests of our kids."
Chad Pennington, Rookie Tackle Pilot League Commissioner and Former NFL Quarterback

FOUR INTERNATIONAL PLAYERS ADDED TO
PRACTICE SQUADS FOR 2017 SEASON
Four teams will carry an additional overseas player on their practice squads during the 2017 season as part of a new International Player Pathway program, the NFL announced today.
Teams from the NFC South division will each be given an exemption for an eleventh practice squad member – ineligible to be activated during the season – with three of the players selected coming from the UK and one from Germany. The NFC South was chosen to receive the international players in a random draw.
The players include former England rugby star Alex Gray (who will join the Atlanta Falcons); recent college players Alex Jenkins (New Orleans Saints) and Eric Nzeocha(Tampa Bay Buccaneers); and defensive end Efe Obada (Carolina Panthers), who was originally signed by the Dallas Cowboys in 2015.
For the past three months, the players have been training alongside NFL players and draft hopefuls in Florida, under the supervision of two-time Super Bowl winner Osi Umenyioraand NFLUK head of football development, Aden Durde.
"This is going to change people's lives," said Umenyiora. "They have a great opportunity. They are going to be seen not only by their new teams but by everyone who might imagine they can be NFL players. They will inspire people around the globe; people who never thought they had a chance to make it to the NFL. Now they see they have a viable pathway. These guys have worked very hard for this chance and I am confident they will make a great contribution to their teams while improving their skills and understanding of the game."
"This is an important part of the league's overall strategy to grow internationally," said NFL Executive Vice President of International & Events Mark Waller. "We are building this pathway program to provide international athletes with the opportunity to play in the league, which will increase the pool of talent, inspire others and ultimately drive fan growth."
The four players taking part in the 2017 International Player Pathway Program are:
ALEX GRAY, Tight End (UK), Age: 26 – Atlanta Falcons
Born and raised in Bishop Auckland, England, Gray captained England's rugby teams at Under-16, Under-18, Under-20 and International Sevens levels and played for Newcastle Falcons and London Irish. He was named in the original extended Great Britain Sevens squad for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio, before suffering an injury. He signed for Yorkshire Carnegie for the 2016-17 rugby season and recently decided to convert to American football.
"I have been working hard for this goal and to be told it was going to happen was an amazing moment," he said. "This is the start of another journey. It is a fantastic thing that is happening, but I am not going to get to where I want to be without keeping myself grounded. Making the decision to give this my all from rugby, there was a big transition period and it was mentally very humbling. When you have to start from scratch again, that was a huge mental battle for me. When I look back I will be very proud of the way I approached this.'
ALEX JENKINS, Defensive End (UK), Age: 24 – New Orleans Saints
Born and raised in Bath, England, he began playing football at the Bath City Academy and for the Bristol Aztecs, earning a spot on the Great Britain youth team. Having been selected to participate in an all-star high school camp in Virginia, he earned a scholarship to play college football at the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas. He was a three-year starter as defensive end at UIW, posting 3.5 sacks in his senior year.
"This is a chance to develop and become a player in the NFL," Jenkins said. "It has been a pretty intense time. It feels too good to be true. I always thought I would be trying to do this on my own until NFL International found me. The fact that the Saints will be playing in London this season [vs Miami Dolphins at Wembley Stadium on October 1] makes it even more exciting for me."
ERIC NZEOCHA, Linebacker (Germany), Age: 24 – Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Nzeocha began playing football for the Franken Knights youth team in Neusitz, Germany, and was selected for the German national junior team. He played three years at the University of Wyoming, switching from tight end to linebacker before the 2015 season. His brother, Mark, is a linebacker for the Dallas Cowboys.
"It is overwhelming, one of the greatest moments of my life," said Nzeocha when hearing the news of his placement. "It has been my dream since I started playing football at the age of 14. When they told me this was happening I was overwhelmed. I am looking forward to it so much. It's unreal."
EFE OBADA, Defensive End (UK), Age: 25 – Carolina Panthers
Raised in London after arriving from the Netherlands at age 10, Obada signed as a free agent for the Dallas Cowboys in 2015 after playing only five games of amateur football with the London Warriors. He played in the preseason for the Cowboys and spent part of the 2015 season on the club's practice squad. He has since had spells on the rosters of the Kansas City Chiefs and Atlanta Falcons.
"I am very happy and excited about the opportunity," he said. "I feel like this is something I need to progress and further my career. I am very grateful to the guys who have worked with us and put their neck on the lines for us. It's a chance to develop my skills and it is going to be nice to be in that NFL environment again."

2018 PRO BOWL RETURNS TO ORLANDO FOLLOWING SUCCESSFUL FIRST YEAR
WEEK-LONG CELEBRATION OF FOOTBALL'S BRIGHTEST STARS
Following the success of its first year in Orlando, the PRO BOWL will return to Camping World Stadium on Sunday, January 28 at 3:00 PM ET, the NFL announced today. The game will be televised on ESPN and ESPN Deportes, and simulcast on ABC, marking the first time it will air on both broadcast and cable networks. It will also be streamed live on the ESPN app, and audio coverage will be available on Westwood One, SiriusXM NFL Radio, and on the TuneIn app.
For the second consecutive year, the NFL will host PRO BOWL WEEK festivities across the Orlando area, bringing new experiences and activities as well as an extraordinary number of events focused on commemorating all levels of football – from youth to high school to the NFL's best. In addition, Pro Bowl players will again be able to invite their former youth or high school coach to be a part of the week's celebrations.
"The Pro Bowl is not only a time to watch NFL greats compete live, but it is also a unique opportunity to inspire youth and the next generation of stars," said PETER O'REILLY, NFL Senior Vice President of Events. "We received tremendous feedback from players, coaches, and fans about Orlando's first Pro Bowl, and we are excited to build upon that enthusiasm with a week-long festival that celebrates the entire football community."
The 2018 Pro Bowl will follow the traditional AFC versus NFC match-up, which returned last season, and feature 88 of the best NFL players – 44 from each conference – as determined by a consensus of votes by fans, players, and coaches. Both teams will be led by offensive and defensive NFL Legends who will serve as captains representing each conference.
Orlando will once more be home to the NFL FLAG CHAMPIONSHIPS POWERED BY USA FOOTBALL, the announcement of the prestigious DON SHULA NFL HIGH SCHOOL COACH OF THE YEAR AWARD and the annual USA FOOTBALL NATIONAL CONFERENCE, the largest congregation of youth and high school football administrators and coaches in the country.
"Hosting Orlando's inaugural NFL Pro Bowl at Camping World Stadium earlier this year was not only fun, but it was a resounding success for our Central Florida community," said Orlando Mayor BUDDY DYER. "We enthusiastically welcome our NFL partners back in 2018. Their confidence in our city's ability to put on such a high-profile event underscores our reputation as one of the premier sports destinations in the U.S."
"The TDT-funded improvements at Camping World Stadium have allowed us to compete for premier events like the 2018 Pro Bowl," said Orange County Mayor TERESA JACOBS. "Not only are we looking forward to another great NFL football game – our second in a row – the Pro Bowl offers a full week of family and fan-friendly events and activities – a perfect match for our family-friendly tourism brand and a great fit for our local residents."
"We are excited to bring Pro Bowl Week back to our community," said Florida Citrus Sports CEO STEVE HOGAN. "This year's sold-out game was a landmark moment for Orlando and our reputation as a preferred destination for world-class sporting events. We became an NFL city for a week last season and look forward to making the 2018 Pro Bowl bigger and better."
Additional events during Pro Bowl Week are set to include the PRO BOWL SKILLS SHOWDOWN, testing the athletic prowess of All-Stars from each conference in unique competitions, and the NFL PRO BOWL EXPERIENCE, a free football festival located at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World Resort.
Fans attending the Pro Bowl Experience will be closer to the action with new activities, immersive exhibits, and sponsor activations. Pro Bowl practices for the AFC and NFC teams will also be held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, allowing fans to watch their favorite players as they prepare for the game.
The NFL FOUNDATION will continue its longstanding Pro Bowl Grant Program and organize community events to benefit residents and the surrounding region. Last year, the NFL Foundation provided a Pro Bowl Grant to LIFT Orlando to fund the refurbishment of a multi-purpose "PLAY 60 Field" at Lake Lorna Doone Park. Through the Pro Bowl Grant Program, the NFL also remains committed to the Hawaiian community, awarding grants to youth-serving, Hawaii-based non-profit organizations.
Tickets for the Pro Bowl will go on sale to the public in the fall. Fans interested in purchasing tickets may register at ProBowl.com for presale opportunities. Season Ticket Members for all 32 teams will automatically be included in the presale, and all previous Orlando Pro Bowl ticket buyers will receive priority access to purchase tickets.

BOSE RENEWS AGREEMENT TO REMAIN THE OFFICIAL HEADPHONE AND HEADSET OF THE NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE
Renewal provides the continued implementation of Bose game-changing headset technology to all NFL sidelines
May 23, 2017 -- Bose Corporation and the National Football League today announced they have signed a multi-year extension to their sponsorship agreement which designates Bose as the official headphone and headset of the NFL.
An official NFL sponsor since 2011, Bose will continue to design, engineer and manufacture headsets for the coaching staffs of all 32 NFL clubs to use in-game, enhancing sideline and booth communications in a variety of areas, including play-calling and instant replay. The Bose headsets were built from the ground-up specifically for the demands of football, and use proprietary technology found in the company’s military and aviation headsets to deliver superior audio, noise cancellation, rugged durability and long-wear comfort.
“We’re thrilled to extend our relationship with Bose and have their technology on our sidelines for many seasons to come,” said Brian Rolapp, Chief Media and Business Officer for the NFL. “The NFL is constantly looking to partner with companies that can provide best-in-class technology to help improve our game, not only for the players and coaches but also for our fans and Bose is a perfect example of that.”
“Our technology has been used to deliver critical communication for more than a 100,000 play calls over the last three years,” said Pat LaCroix, Head of Global Media and Alliances at Bose.  “We’re proud of the impact our headsets have had on the game, and are committed to continuing to make a difference for the league, its 32 teams and the millions of fans everywhere.”
“Since being implemented on our NFL game day sidelines, Bose technology has enhanced the audio and communication experience for our coaches, players and game day personnel,” said Troy Vincent, Executive Vice President of Football Operations for the NFL.
As part of the renewal, Bose continues to have global rights to leverage its NFL relationship, including the right to use the following designations:

  • Bose is “The Official Headphone and Headset of the NFL.”
  • Bose is “The Official Sound of the NFL.”
  • Bose is “The Official Home Audio and Speaker Sponsor of the NFL.”

NFL-CFL OFFICIATING DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM EXPANDED FOR 2017 SEASON
As part of an ongoing collaborative effort to develop football personnel, the National Football League and Canadian Football League today announced the expansion of the NFL-CFL Officiating Development Program.
Six NFL officials – an increase from four in the first year of the program in 2016 – will work as part of CFL crews during preseason and regular-season games in June and July, prior to starting their NFL season at the league’s annual officiating clinic in late July.
In addition, six CFL officials – up from three in 2016 – will join the NFL’s Officiating Development Program, which is designed to train top officials in all aspects of NFL officiating.  Elements of the program include attending NFL minicamps and training camps, officiating preseason games, studying position-specific film with veteran NFL officials, reviewing mechanics and analyzing rules differences between the NFL and other leagues, including the CFL and college football.
“Working together to develop a sustainable pipeline of highly qualified and experienced officials is in the best interest of both of our leagues,” said NFL Executive Vice President of Football Operations TROY VINCENT.  “We continue to explore how to collaborate on providing more on-field experience for our officials as well as developing a broad range of football personnel.  This is a partnership that makes good sense.”
The NFL officials that worked in the CFL in 2016 were deep wing officials – side judges and field judges – to minimize the impact of some of the rules differences between the two leagues.  This year, the program will also include a back judge – a deep official positioned in the middle of the field.
“The CFL officials that participated in the development program last year benefited greatly from it,” said CFL Senior Vice-President, Football GLEN JOHNSON. “We’re excited that the NFL saw enough merit in it to want to expand the program. This will give more of our officials the opportunity for enhanced professional development activities in order to continue to improve their performance on the field.”

NFL REGULAR SEASON ENTERS FINAL QUARTER
There are only four games remaining in the regular season to decide who advances to the playoffs for a shot at a trip to Super Bowl LI.
As the NFL enters the final quarter of the regular season, there are 19 teams either in or within one game of a playoff spot.
Entering Week 14, only one team – the Dallas Cowboys (11-1) – has clinched a spot in the 2016 playoff field. The Cowboys, who have secured at least a playoff berth, can win the NFC East division title with a win at the New York Giants on Sunday night. The Cowboys can also clinch a first-round bye with a win and either a Detroit loss or a Seattle loss. And Dallas can lock up the No. 1 overall seed in the NFC with a win and losses by both Detroit and Seattle.
Two other divisions can be clinched in Week 14. The New England Patriots (10-2), who have won at least 10 games in 14 consecutive seasons, can secure the AFC East with a win and a Miami loss. The Patriots can also claim a first-round bye with a win and losses by both Miami and Pittsburgh. The Seattle Seahawks (8-3-1), who are seeking their fifth consecutive postseason berth, can lock up the NFC West division title with a win and an Arizona loss.
The Oakland Raiders (10-2) can clinch a playoff berth with a win over Kansas City on Thursday night and a loss by either Miami or Denver.
Week 14 begins on Thursday night (8:25 PM ET, NBC/NFLN/Twitter) with an important AFC West contest as the Kansas City Chiefs (9-3) host the first-place Raiders (10-2). The Chiefs have won seven of their past eight games while Oakland enters the contest on a six-game winning streak.
The week concludes with a pair of primetime contests with playoff implications. On Sunday night (8:30 PM ET, NBC), the Cowboys (11-1) visit the New York Giants (8-4). Dallas, which has won 11 consecutive games, has already secured a playoff berth and will clinch the division title with a victory. The Giants, who handed the Cowboys their only loss this season (20-19 in Week 1), are currently in position for the NFC’s first Wild Card spot.
On Monday night (8:30 PM ET, ESPN), the Patriots (10-2) host the Baltimore Ravens (7-5). New England can clinch the AFC East division title for the eighth consecutive season with a win and a Miami loss, which would be the longest streak of division titles in NFL history. Baltimore has won four of its past five games and enters Week 14 tied with Pittsburgh for first place in the AFC North.
Some of the key games in Week 14:

OAKLAND RAIDERS (10-2) at KANSAS CITY CHIEFS (9-3) (Thursday, NBC/NFLN/Twitter, 8:25 PM ET)
  • The Raiders, who can clinch a playoff berth with a win and either a Miami loss or a Denver loss, have won six games in a row, including last week’s 38-24 come-from-behind victory over Buffalo. Oakland trailed by 15 points in the second half before rallying to score the game’s final 29 points. QuarterbackDEREK CARR has 11 touchdown passes and one interception in the fourth quarter and overtime this season. Defensive end KHALIL MACK is the only player in the NFL this season with at least 10 sacks (10) and an interception (one).
  • The Chiefs have won seven of their past eight games, including last week’s 29-28 comeback win at Atlanta. Safety ERIC BERRY intercepted a two-point conversion attempt and returned it for the go-ahead score in the fourth quarter, the first game-winning defensive two-point conversion scored when his team was trailing. Berry also returned an interception 37 yards for a touchdown and is the first player in NFL history to return an interception for both a touchdown and a two-point conversion in the same game.
HOUSTON TEXANS (6-6) at INDIANAPOLIS COLTS (6-6) (Sunday, CBS, 1:00 PM ET)
  • The Texans are tied with Indianapolis and Tennessee for first place in the AFC South. Houston has won eight consecutive division games, including the past two meetings between the clubs. In Week 6, running back LAMAR MILLER rushed for 149 yards and a touchdown in the Texans’ 26-23 overtime victory over the Colts.

  • The Colts, whose win on Monday night moved them into a first-place tie with Houston and Tennessee in the division, are 13-1 all-time at home against the Texans. Quarterback ANDREW LUCK has won nine consecutive starts at home against division opponents, including a 3-0 mark against Houston. Luck threw four touchdown passes, including three to tight end DWAYNE ALLEN, in last week’s 41-10 win at the New York Jets.

DENVER BRONCOS (8-4) at TENNESSEE TITANS (6-6) (Sunday, CBS, 1:00 PM ET)
  • The Broncos currently hold one of the AFC’s two Wild Card berths with four games left to play. Last week, cornerback BRADLEY ROBY had a 51-yard interception-return touchdown – his second INT-TD this season – in Denver’s 20-10 win at Jacksonville. Linebacker VON MILLER leads the NFL with 12.5 sacks.
  • The Titans, who had a bye in Week 13, are tied with Houston and Indianapolis for first place in the AFC South. Quarterback MARCUS MARIOTA, who was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Month in November, has thrown multiple touchdown passes in eight consecutive games, totaling 21 touchdowns, three interceptions and a 117.7 passer rating during that span.

SEATTLE SEAHAWKS (8-3-1) at GREEN BAY PACKERS (6-6) (Sunday, FOX, 4:25 PM ET)
  • The Seahawks can clinch the NFC West with a win and an Arizona loss. Seattle defeated Carolina 40-7 last week and rushed for 240 yards, led by running back THOMAS RAWLS (106 yards, two touchdowns) and wide receiver TYLER LOCKETT (75-yard touchdown run). The Seahawks lead the NFL allowing 16.2 points per game.
  • The Packers defeated Houston 21-13 last week at Lambeau Field. Quarterback AARON RODGERS, who threw two touchdown passes in the victory, has won 14 consecutive December home games, the second-longest streak in NFL history. During that span, Rodgers has thrown 34 touchdowns with four interceptions for a 116.2 passer rating.
NEW ORLEANS SAINTS (5-7) at TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS (7-5) (Sunday, FOX, 4:25 PM ET)
  • The Saints play three of their final four games against division opponents, including two meetings with the Buccaneers. Quarterback DREW BREES leads the NFL in passing yards (3,913), touchdown passes (30), completions (357), attempts (500) and completion percentage (71.4).
  • The Buccaneers have won four consecutive games and are tied with Atlanta for first place in the NFC South. Tampa Bay knocked off San Diego 28-21 last week as quarterback JAMEIS WINSTON threw a touchdown pass, running back DOUG MARTIN rushed for a TD and linebacker LAVONTE DAVIDreturned an interception for a score.
DALLAS COWBOYS (11-1) at NEW YORK GIANTS (8-4) (Sunday, NBC, 8:30 PM ET)
  • The Cowboys have won 11 consecutive games and are the only team in the NFL to clinch a playoff berth. Dallas can win the NFC East with a win at New York and, with help from other scenarios, could secure a first-round bye and home-field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs this weekend. Quarterback DAK PRESCOTT is the first rookie in NFL history to throw at least one touchdown pass without an interception in five consecutive games. Rookie running back EZEKIEL ELLIOTT leads the NFL with 1,285 rushing yards and ranks second in the league with 12 rushing TDs.
  • The Giants have won six of their past seven games and currently hold one of the NFC’s two Wild Card berths. New York is the only team to defeat the Cowboys this season, winning at Dallas (20-19) in Week 1. Safety LANDON COLLINS, who leads the team with 94 tackles, is the only player in the NFL with at least three sacks (three) and three interceptions (five).
BALTIMORE RAVENS (7-5) at NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS (10-2) (Monday, ESPN, 8:30 PM ET)
  • The Ravens enter Week 14 tied with Pittsburgh for first place in the AFC North. Baltimore has won two games in a row and four of their past five contests. Last week, quarterback JOE FLACCO passed for 381 yards and four touchdowns in the Ravens’ 38-6 win over Miami.
  • The Patriots have reached 10 wins for the 14th consecutive season, the second-longest streak in NFL history. Last week, New England defeated Los Angeles 26-10 as quarterback TOM BRADY won his 201st career start (including the postseason), the most victories by a starting QB in NFL history. With a victory and a Miami loss, the Patriots will become the first team in NFL history to win eight consecutive division titles.
