#Knockeando Canelo vs GGG un empate con sabor a trilogía

Canelo vs GGG un empate con sabor a trilogía

Me dirán loco pero yo vi ganando 116-112 a Saúl “Canelo” Álvarez. Y así me llamaron por las redes sociales aquellos que vieron ganando dominantemente a GGG. Los mismos que cuando pedí que me explicaran por qué ganó GGG, ni contestaban o su análisis era del nivel de un niño de 8 años. “Por que es el campeón”; “Por que el retador tiene que buscar al campeón”; “Por que conectó más puños”; “Por que Canelo lo que hizo fue correr”; “Por que sí”, entre otros “mega” análisis que pude leer en las redes sociales de personas que posiblemente no vieron todos los rounds, todos los minutos o a lo mejor tenían la misma cantidad de alcohol en la sangre que la jueza Adelaide Boyd, quien vio ganando a Canelo 118-110. Esa si estaba loca, yo no.  Por cierto, yo no fui el único que vio ganar a Canelo, no habló de los 34 millones que vieron la pelea por TV en México, ni del flamante ganador de todo este show Oscar de la Hoya, habló de analistas y conocedores de boxeo que sí, al igual que yo, vieron round por round, minuto por minuto la pelea. Se trata de opiniones basada en datos y hechos, y no en fanatismo o por gustos. Mi análisis está basado en datos y mi mayor evidencia es que los invito a ver la fotos de los rostros de ambos púgiles luego de la pelea. Visiblemente se ve un Gennady Gennádievich Golovkin (37-0-1 con 33KO) con un rostro más lastimado que el de Saúl “Canelo” Álvarez (49-1-2 con 34KO). Dato interesante cuando se vio un Canelo que atacó más el cuerpo que GGG. Pero según los expertos de barra y televisión Canelo no hizo nada. Es interesante que se hable de un boxeador dominó a otro cuando ninguno visitó la lona, ninguno estuvo en malas condiciones y ninguno recibió 500 puños en total. Dos pegadores de la fuerza de GGG y Canelo pasaron de ser ofensivos a defensivos y para sustentar mi punto aquí les dejo las estadísticas, ya cuando ocurre una pelea tan cerrada como esta lo ideal es ir a los números para sustentar cada análisis.
GGG lanzó un total de 703 puños, conectando 218, para un 31%. Canelo lanzó 505, conectó 169, para un 33.5%. GGG tiró más y conectó más. Canelo fue más efectivo. Números bastante parejos y difícil de definir un ganador con menos de 100 puños de ventaja. La realidad es que cuantas veces los boxeadores que menos han conectado puños terminan ganando la pelea. Muchas. Entonces se cae a teoría de que gana el que más puño conectó. Por ende, la agresividad de un boxeador manda un mensaje bueno a los jueces, pero eso no significa que el boxeador más agresivo gana la pelea por eso. Lo que se cae la teoría de que el retador tiene que ser el agresivo para vencer y el campeón retiene si es agresivo. Vamos a los Jabs, GGG 361 lanzados, 108 conectados, para un 29.9%. Canelo con 233 lanzados, 55 conectados, para un 23.6%. Sin duda GGG utilizó su jab toda la pelea y si en algo fue dominante, fue en esta área. En los llamados Power Punches Canelo lanzó 272, conectando 114 para un 41.9% mientras que GGG lanzó 342, conectó 110, para un 32.2%. Canelo volvió a ser más efectivo aunque la diferencia de 4 puños realmente no fue gran cosa. Tres importantes estadísticas y el resultado es el mismo: están parejos. Ahora entiendes el empate. Si tu mismo, el mismo que comenzó a criticar a la jueza por las redes. Y en parte tienen razón, 118-110 no es real para ninguno de los boxeadores, inclusive el 117-111 de CBS a favor de GGG tampoco hace sentido. Pero el empate sí. Si la jueza Byrd hubiera puesto 115-113 Canelo como quiera terminaba empate con el 115-113 a GGG que le dio Dave Moretti y el 114-114 que dio Don Trella. El empate tiene sentido.
Los números no mienten. Todo está parejo, no hubo caídas, no hubo rounds 10-8, no hubo nada espectacular que no fuera una buena pelea de boxeo de dos campeones que dieron lo que tenían para entretener a las masas. El final fue lo mejor para los fans y el negocio. Por que de una pelea esto puede pasar a una trilogía. De ganar Canelo la 2da vuelta y arrebatarle la tres fajas de las 160 libras en su posible defensa # 20 a GGG, sería casi mandatorio que una revancha del actual campeón. Aunque no hay nada escrito que sepamos, de algo estamos seguro, estas son de las pocas mega peleas que le queda al boxeo actual. ¡$$$$$$$$!
A pesar de los memes, las críticas y las acusaciones de robo; al final el empate tiene lógica. Como dije, yo vi ganando a Canelo por que fue más certero en su ataque, realizó su plan de pelea, salió mejor en los intercambios de puños con GGG y sus golpes de poder se dejaron sentir en todo el cuerpo de su contrincante. En cambio GGG, si fue más agresivo, pero desperdició oportunidades cuando Canelo lo invitaba a pelear cerca de las cuerdas, no atacó el cuerpo, concentró su ataque en el rostro, no entendí su plan de pelea, si alguno, y nunca vi ese boxeador poderoso capaz de noquear a cualquiera. Me quede esperándolo. En resumen, fue una buena pelea de pesos medianos y a quién no le gustaría ver otra. Claro, sin la jueza. La pelea fue en el T-Mobile Arena en Las Vegas, Nevada, ante 23,358 presentes. La pelea fue por las fajas medianas de la WBA (Súper Mediano), WBC, IBO, IBF, The Ring y Lineal. Canelo se llevó $ 5 millones de dólares y GGG se llevó $3 millones de dólares. ¡Que negocio redondo!

NEW YORK CITY (August 27, 2015) - Reigning WBC, Ring Magazine and Lineal Middleweight World Champion Miguel Cotto (40-4, 33 KOs) and former WBC and WBA Super Welterweight World Champion Canelo Alvarez (45-1-1, 32 KOs) were greeted by hundreds of chanting fans as they hosted a press conference in New York City on Wednesday, August 26 as part of their international four-city press tour ahead of their highly anticipated championship showdown in November.

The next mega-fight in the storied Puerto Rico vs. Mexico boxing rivalry will take place Saturday, Nov. 21 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas and will be produced and distributed live by HBO Pay-Per-View. At the New York City press conference held at the Wyndham New Yorker Hotel, Cotto, the first native of Puerto Rico to become world champion in four different weight classes, and Mexican superstar Alvarez were joined by their promoters and trainers to discuss what promises to be this year’s most epic battle.
